This exposition, built from the masterpiecesof the Tate Britain, honours a key period in the history of painting in England, from the 1760s to around 1820. She intends to draw up a panorama that allows us to grasp its originality and diversity. It leads the visitor of the fondation of the Royal Academy, With the different artists such as Reynolds and Gainsborough, until the new turning point that began at the beginning of the 19th century, notably with Turner.
